Are you ready for a hike in the woods? Do you enjoy exploring abandoned sites, urban parks, or a trip to a significant outdoor space with waterfalls, forests, and rugged trails? It's important to bring healthy, nourishing snacks when you prepare for your scenic trek, even if it's just for a couple of hours or within the city limits.

While a backpacking trip requires much more preparation, especially if you're exploring a remote region, it's still important to consider which snacks and drinks are best for your day's hike.

Plenty of Water

Bring at least two refillable bottles of water. Filtered or spring water is ideal, though you can bring your favorite fruit-infused water with a few slices of cucumber, watermelon, lemon, berries, or mint to enhance the flavor. Ensure the cap is sealed correctly, and the bottles can be chilled or kept cool in your backpack. Hydration packs, or hiking packs with a drinking tube, are ideal if you need a sip while climbing a hill or hanging from a cliff.
